There are several restaurants in the nearby village and they are all good. Hard to pinpoint one.
There is a Vietnamese place, a hole in the wall but the food is exceptional. The ambience speaks of a takeaway place but they do have a few tables and chairs so you can dine in as well. They serve authentic Vietnamese cuisine, it is cheap, and the food is great.
A Schnitzel place not too faraway is exceptional for its German cuisine. They serve about a hundred different varieties of Schnitzels, the Schnitzels remain the same but the sauces vary. It is finger-licking good but if you’re on a diet, it should not be indulged in on a regular basis!
An Indian place is the next best restaurant. They serve Thalis, both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian kind. The ambience is more upscale, if you sit outside you are next to the river. A nice place to spend the afternoons or evenings. Food is good, service is exceptional, and the price is ok. Not too expensive and not too cheap.
My particular village doesn’t offer much in terms of food but they do have a small Italian place and a cafe but good food is just a stone’s throw away. I was out with a friend today and she said, “Not bad, you have everything you need close by!”
She is right. Add the fields and I’ve got paradise the way I view paradise!

It really does sound like you’ve got a bit of a food paradise on your hands — a tucked-away Vietnamese spot, a hundred different kinds of schnitzel, and an Indian place by the river is an impressive lineup for one village. Your friend’s probably right, too; having that much good, varied food so close by is something a lot of city people would be jealous of. Now I’m curious, which schnitzel sauce would you recommend trying first?

People think that it is a village that time forgot and it probably is but the perks are plenty. Yes, city folks would definitely be jealous if they dislike noise that is. It is a place where you can hear a pin drop. I have two favorites. I love the Jager Schnitzel (I can’t get the umlaut in) which comes with a mushroom cream sauce. Absolutely delicious! The other favorite is the Schnitzel with Spargel or rather asparagus. This one is really great too. I haven’t worked my way through the list and as I said, if you’re on a diet, keep the Schnitzels to a bare minimum especially the sauces! A Schnitzel fan?
