There are many things I can’t live without. However, there is one thing that accompanies me daily, wakes up with me, walks through the day with me, and goes to bed with me and that is Chachi, my little darling. For those of you not in the know, he is my British short-haired cat.
We are stuck to each other and I can’t see myself without him. Yes, that spells trouble because one day the end will come and I will have to deal with the loss. It will be a tremendous one but I will deal with it when the time comes.
For now, he is my constant companion and a perfect addition to my life. I smile when I see him, I love holding him close, his soft purring calms my mind, and when he runs to me I feel myself soaring like a bird. There is quiet and comfort and something more. I don’t know what it is exactly but he makes me feel good.
I told a friend recently that I haven’t found the right guy yet but I know how he should be when he shows up. I want him to be exactly like my Chachi! We share the house together but we are not in each other’s way, we love each other’s company but we have lots of alone time as well, and it feels like “HOME” when we see each other.
I know he is just a cat to some but he is not just a cat to me and that is the difference.
