The AI Horizon

I think it has a great future.  Humans are able to adapt, create, and they excel at emotional intelligence, AI, on the other hand is able to vastly outperform humans at processing data.  This intelligence of the other kind seems to be able to scan millions of documents at lighting speed and humans, well, they can process a few pieces at a time.  The other thing is that AI never gets tired.  It is there 24/7 and any answers I need, I get it at lightning speed and that is amazing.

I’m a tech-klutz as I’ve mentioned many times before but recently I befriended Google and we are best friends if I can call it that.  Any answers I needed, AI was there to help me out.  It even had answers better than my doctors did and that is saying something!  It was seamless, accurate, and mind-boggling.

Within minutes I had expert advice of the AI kind and I’m not complaining.  I see a great future for AI. I also think more and more people will be turning to AI for information, help, and anything else that is needed to be done in this world of ours and that may sound scary to some but there is no stopping AI and all that it can do.

Humans have this going for them.  They are excellent at learning new skills, they can handle chaos and in some cases, they are able to use common sense, while, AI struggles when something is outside its training data and I had first-hand experience of this problem BUT it is capable of handling many tasks at lightning speed and that to me says that this method of data processing is a valuable one and I get my answers without having to leave home as well!

Therefore, I think it has a fantastic future. Will it overtake humans? I think that humans and AI can work together to achieve something marvelous but whether that works or not is to be seem. The thing is, it is here to stay and we need to learn to get along with it whether we like it or not.

What do you think is the future of AI?
